World of Warcraft
I've been playing World of Warcraft steadily since February of 2010. I had been looking for a game that combined the realtime excitement of Quake/Doom with the character classes and rich world of monsters and items of Nethack. Somehow I missed WoW for 5 years ...
The fact that WoW is actually an MMORPG and involves much interaction with other players initially wasn't of much interest to me, but much of the content of the game cannot be played solo and over time I came to appreciate the social aspect of the game and have made online friends through joining The Mighty Zen Raiding Guild, and in addition have played through pretty much all of the current content the game has to offer.
The creators of WoW, Blizzard, have just launched an expansion called Catalclysm, meaning I am doomed to spend much more of my time for months to come playing through entirely new content!

My main character is a Night Elf Hunter called Astaelta, and I play on the Sisters of Elune realm.
